Welcome to Dogs Online - the Council website for dog registrations and updating details.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are using an Apple product (MacOs/iPad) to register your dog and are paying by credit card, we recommend using the Google Chrome or Firefox app as the Safari web browser is not compatible. If you have any questions, please contact the Animal Education and Control Administration team directly between 8am and 4:30pm on 07 838 6632 or you can register your dog at one of the following council facilities:

Animal Education and Control

217 Ellis Street, Frankton, Hamilton. Open hours are Monday to Sunday 12:30pm until 16:30pm

Hamilton City Council - Municipal Building

260 Anglesea St, Hamilton. Open hours are Monday to Friday 07:45am to 17:00pm

All dogs over three months must be registered, and renewed each year by 30 June. Dog tags and microchip numbers mean lost dogs can be identified and returned to owners. Read more

Access Registered Dog Details

If you have one or more registered dogs with Council you can access your owner and
dog details by entering any two pieces of information
from the three options below and then select “Submit”. Do not complete all three fields.

Dog Owner No.

For existing dog owners your 'Dog Owner No.' (account number) can be found
on your annual registration renewal form.

Dog Tag No.

'Dog Tag No.' will be the tag number for one of the registered dogs you own.

Owner Date of Birth

'Date of Birth' is the owner's date of birth which must match what is held in our
Dog database.

If your have one or more dogs registered with council you can access your owner and dog
details by entering the following key pieces of information and selecting submit.

Dog Owner No. *
For existing dog owners your Dog Owner No. can be found on your annual
registration renewal form.

Dog Tag No. *
'Dog Tag No.' will be the tag number for one of the registered dogs you own.
