Welcome to Hamilton City Council’s Online Service which gives you easy access to Council services online.
Over time a greater range of services will be available on the website. You may get access to these services depending on the answers you give during your registration.
To register for Council’s Online Service, you will need to:
1. Have a RealMe login
2. Fill in an online registration form
3. Wait until Council contacts you to tell you that your registration is ready
4. Log on and start using the online service
1. Accessing the Council online service via a RealMe login
To access the Council’s online service, you will need a login from the RealMe login service that is operated by the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) and NZ Post Group Limited. You can use your existing RealMe login, or create a new RealMe login if you do not have one.
· Find out about RealMe
· View the RealMe Terms of use
· Read the privacy policy for the RealMe login service and the RealMe assertion service
Once you have your RealMe login, you can continue to the Council online registration screens.
2. Online registration
The first time you access the Council online services, you will be asked a number of questions. This should take only five to ten minutes to complete if you have your account information handy as listed below. We will use your responses to identify who you are and which information you want to see online, so please answer the questions accurately and as completely as you can.
You will be asked for your name, date of birth, address and contact information so we can match you with your customer record in our system. Please make sure you have given us an email address you check regularly, and phone numbers that we can use to reach you during business hours.
You will also be asked a number of questions to confirm the accounts you have with Council that you want to see online. Once these services are online you will be able to renew your registrations, pay invoices and fees, etc. Please tell us about your current Council accounts so these services can be added once they become available online.
Please leave any fields blank that do not apply to you.
If you cannot complete the Council online service registration for any reason, you will be able to come back later and start again using the same RealMe login. You will not be able to save a partly complete registration.
